God doesn't need the beautiful voices to make heaven rejoice in His children's praise.
He wants to hear every girl and boy singing His Name with joy, happy voices raised.
And His praise will overcome all the evil of the night.
By lifting up God's Son we will have the strength to fight!

Praise is the means to thank our dear Savior for the blood that He shed upon Calvary.
Jesus the Christ destroyed sin and death. Yes He paid all our debt for eternity.
Oh, He paid the debt for me and He set the captive free!
And praise will sanctify holy souls, minds and hearts.
Let our voices testify He has set our lives apart!

Good intentions always get me started,
but my inventions leave You broken-hearted.
It's so easy to be prisoner of my life's history,
when I lose sight of eternity.
But for the Grace of God i'd be fallen.
I walk the rubble I hear voices in the mire.
Hay and stubble thrown upon the fire.
The glow remains for a day, soon the embers die and fade away;
night leaves me cold and all alone. I’m so alone.
But for the Grace of God I'd be fallen down.
On occasion there is indication of Heaven.
Your purity invades my leaven.
No good is in me; in Your grace I find this mystery:
My life is dead until Your death brings Life.
Perfect grace revealed in Christ:
Holy God was sacrificed.
Heaven offered up His only Son so I might live.

I wonder what He was thinking
when He culled out the stars and strewed them in the sky?
i wonder what was going through His mind
splitting atoms up between day and night?
i wonder at His intentions
when His hands formed a ball and set it spinning in its flight?
i wonder what was going through His mind
as He lay down to rest?
I wonder what He was thinking
when He grasped up a fist of peat and clay?
i wonder what was going through His mind
forming hands and heart, lungs and spine.
i wonder at His intentions

as He breathed in it.
Didn't He understand how hard it would be to hold this man?
Didn't He realize His plan would cause His own demise?
I wonder what He was thinking
when the angels sang at the birth of Christ.

watching Mary sleep in the hay that night.
i wonder at His intentions:
His own Son humbled in frail human life.
i wonder what was going through His mind,
when Jesus cried?
Didn't He understand the bitterness of fallen man?
Didn't He realize His Plan would cause His Son's demise?
I wonder what He was thinking
as Jesus prayed "Father, I don't wanna die!"
i wonder what was going through his mind
when a friend betrayed the heart of Christ?
i wonder at His intentions
when He allowed His own to drink The Cup.
i wonder what was going through his mind
when the Son of God was lifted up!
Lifted up, upon a cross. Lord what were you thinking? What was on Your mind?
If I be lifted up I will draw mankind to me.
All mankind now can see eternity in Your eyes.

Two of my best friends running through the garden
looking for the grave place where no body lay.
Peter entered in to find evidence of pardon.
Question coming to the man: "Could this be the day?"
Pair of disciples walking down the road of sorrow
didn't understand the things they'd seen occur that day.
Stranger came along expounding grace for tomorrow.
Deep within their hearts a burning voice seemed to say:
Who is the King of Glory?
Who is the Precious Holy One?
Who? Tell me who is the King of Glory?
Oh … Jesus Christ!
Who was born of a virgin in the stable;
But He was here before foundations of this world we know today.
A sinless life gave Him the reward of crucifixion
then they laid Him in the grave. [But that's not Jesus Christ!]
Every one of us knows this is not the story.
How could death contain the Power of the Savior of the world?
He walked again on Earth then said as He ascended:
"Wait for my return, when my glory is unfurled."
Modern days filled with circumstances;
Rest assured you are not standing on your own.
Hell will never withstand our advances
while Spirit, Lord and Savior occupy the throne.
You, Lord the King of Glory!
You are the Precious Holy One!
You, Jesus Christ the King of Glory!
Oh,,, Jesus Christ!

Old man lying on his death bed, wondering how life ever came to this?
A man of his own design; never needed anyone else.
The end so near, body racked in pain, each moment fleet.
He ushers up the strength for one last plea,
"Is Anybody here? can You save me?"
The first one you see will be Jesus.
You'll recognize His face full of love and grace.
The first one you see will be Jesus.
And He'll be the first One to see you.
Tanya was a good girl, but she didn't listen very well.
Momma said don't go out tonight; those streets are full of hell.
Tanya has no fear, decision made, she knew her fate.
When others walk by sight; Tanya's walking by faith.
She steps out on the street as the bullets rain. They rain.
The first one you see will be Jesus.
You'll recognize His face full of love and grace.
The first one you see will be Jesus.
And He'll be the first One to see you.
Maybe I got Good News, maybe I got some bad.
Depends on your perspective and relations you have.
What you do down here won't matter one grain
without faith in Jesus Christ, all the rest is in vain.
One Human sacrifice brings you face to face!
The first one you see will be Jesus.
He'll recognize your face, covered in His Grace.

It's too little Pilgrim's Progress down a long, winding road.
Dropping fragments of Providence trying to lighten my load.
No I'm not a strong man; I've never been that tough.
And I'm tired; I'm broke down. Oh I feel guilty and I've had enough.
Give me Vision; clear my head.
I don't want religion, I want You instead.
Lord make me able to understand that the man of true faith is the only true man.
Looking at all the people looking right back at me wondering what's he looking at me for?
I'm wondering why do they shutter their windows and lock the door?
Looking at you -- do you look at me too?
Sometimes we don't see what we could.
Looking on the outside: we don't see with Who's eyes?
We should see with Jesus’ eyes.
Give me vision; clear my head.
I don't want religion, I want You instead.
Lord make me able to understand that the man of true faith
shares the only True Vision; clear my head.
I don't want religion Lord; I want You instead to make me able to run the race.
Let me long for Your heart ’til the day I see Your face.
The Light of the World is Jesus,
salvation by no other name.
As many as will receive Him shall be saved.
Millions are waiting to see Him now,
hands and faces in the sky.
It seems He is delaying, I wonder why?
Salvation, then is Jesus!
But He is so much more than this.
When will he come to see us as He is?
He really Is. I wanna be like Jesus.

The Beacon

The beacon of the Church is not its steeple;
that's just a high, noble spire.
The Lord relies upon his people
to perform His one desire.
It is no mystery what His will is
for those called by Jesus' name.
And if we are all about His business,
this world won't be the same.
Be The Light in a world filled with darkness,
bringing sight unto souls you find floundering in life.
They're all around you, see them in distress:
Be The Light: show them Christ.
We gather in God's house to worship.
Lift our hands as we praise the Lord.
But if we don't carry Good News out to them,
how will they hear His Word?
